Wedbush Securities announces Tony May as a Managing Director, Investments

Wedbush Securities Los Angeles-based investment firm and a provider of securities brokerage services declared that it has appointed veteran Tony May as Managing Director, Investments.

What is Wedbush Securities?

Established in 1955 by two high school friends, the firm provides securities brokerage, banking services and wealth management. It further expanded its reach and research capabilities throughout the years.

The firm is currently divided into four major sections: Futures, Capital Markets, Correspondent Services, Wealth Management.

The firm is also known for legal cases when it was ordered to pay compensations for morally inappropriate conduct in 2011. Although, the company got various awards, including Top Stock Picking Firm, best Wall Street Performer for First Half of 2010 etc.

Rich Jablonski and Gary Wedbush became co-presidents in May 2018.

In recent months, Wedbush Securities has again seen an expansion in the team, with Frank Epinger taking a place as a Managing Director, Regional Executive of the Los Angeles Area. In the new role, he will be in the firm’s LA headquarters.

Epinger has experience in the wealth management space and he joined Wedbush from the prominent bank JPMorgan. He held a senior regional leadership position there.

May – an individual with considerable working experience

Tony May will join the Newport Beach Office and report to Doug Ireland, who is a Branch Manager. He becomes a part of the firm with nearly 30 years of experience in the industry.

During his career, May was mainly specializing in customing strategic for customers. Prior to working with Wedbush Securities, he was a financial advisor and most recently held a position at Stifel.

Following the appointment, Doug Ireland declared in the statement that he was excited to have Tony in Newport Beach’s family. Tony has always been a person with a high reputation, known for working hard and providing decent financial solutions to the clients. Ireland hoped for further growth and development.

While May was speaking about his appointment, he noted that his client-first approach would definitely fit with Doug and the Newport Beach team. He was excited to undertake a new role in the growing office and looked forward to achieving a lot with the firm.

Currently, Tony May resides in Laguna Niguel, California with his wife and two daughters. The addition of a professional like May will certainly have a tremendous impact on the firm’s operations. Not everyone can boast by a 30-year career in the financial sector, with powerful achievements.
