Euro Weekly Outlook: The Top 10 EUR related events Dec. 13 – Dec. 17
NEW YORK (Forex News Now) – The FNN team has prepared a list of the top 10 economic events most likely to impact EUR and make realtime forex news during the coming week, Dec. 13 – Dec. 17.
All times are given in GMT.
1. French Consumer Price Index: Tuesday, 8:30 A.M. – INSEE is due to release monthly data on the change in the price of goods and services purchased by consumers. Previous: 0.1%.
2. Industrial Production: Tuesday, 12:00 P.M. – Eurostat will release monthly data on the change in the total value of output produced by manufacturers, mines and utilities. Previous: -0.7%.
3. ZEW Economic Sentiment: Tuesday, 12:00 P.M. – ZEW will release its level of diffusion index based on surveys of institutional investors and analysts. The survey tends to be overshadowed by the release of the ZEW German Economic Sentiment index, released at the same time. A level of above 0.0 indicates optimism Previous: 13.8.
4. Italian Trade Balance: Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. – Istat will release monthly figures on the difference in value between imported and exported goods. A positive number means more exports than imports. Previous: -31.9b.
5. Employment Change: Wednesday, 12:00 P.M. – Eurostat will release quarterly figures on the change in the amount of employed individuals. Previous: 0.0%.
6. Flash Manufacturing PMI: Thursday, 11:00 A.M. – Markit will release its monthly level of diffusion index based on surveys of purchasing managers in the manufacturing industry. The index is a key indicator of economic health. Previous: 55.3.
7. Flash Services PMI: Thursday, 11:00 A.M. – Markit will release its monthly level of diffusion index based on surveys of purchasing managers in the services industry. Previous: 55.4.
8. Consumer Price Index: Thursday, 12:00 A.M. – Eurostat will release monthly data on the change in the price of goods and services purchased by consumers. Previous: 1.9%.
9. German Ifo Business Climate: Friday, 11:00 A.M. – The Ifo Institute for Economic Research will release its monthly level of composite index based on surveys of manufacturers, builders, wholesalers and retailers, a leading indicator of economic health. Previous: 109.3.
10. Trade Balance: Friday, 12:00 P.M. – Eurostat will release monthly figures on the difference in value between imports and exports. Previous: 2.4b.
